Bill was born in Stratford, Texas. He joined 4 other siblings: Mary, John, Bob, and Maxine. His father ran a Texas farm and there was always work to be done. When Bill was only 3 months old, his father was struck by lightning while working in the field and passed away. It was a difficult time for the whole family. After a few years, his mother remarried a kind man and they went on to add 2 more children, Jimmy and Pete, to the family. When his brother Bob was only 11, though, he was struck by a car in a fatal accident. The family moved to California for job opportunities when Bill was 12 years old. When Bill was 18, he started work as a mechanic with the Douglas Aircraft Company. Soon, he married the love of his life, Barbara. To Bill's delight, the couple went on have 3 children. Bill was devoted to his family but he was also dedicated to the job, working his way up the ladder to management. He spent 40 years at Boeing McDonnell Douglas. Bill was proud of his work and proud to be a provider for his family. Over the years, he took the family on camping vacations and fishing trips. He also had a second home in Lake Havasu for family vacations. Bill loved playing basketball and watching the Lakers. Every year for several years, Bill and Barbara hosted a grand pig roast for hundreds of family and friends on their farm in Temecula. Bill will be remembered as a lover of country music, a great father, and a generous soul. Bill has been reunited with his 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife, 2 sisters, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Bill White is a man who will always be remembered...one day, we will see him again.
