CHARLES EDWARD PFEIFFER Loving father and grandfather, died peacefully in his home in 2007.

He was born in 1923 in Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York to parents Henry Edward Pfeiffer and Marie Fowler Pfeiffer. He married Gert Schwarzenzer Student in 1951 and they were married until her death in 1987. He has lived in the San Fernando Valley for 50 years, starting in Sherman Oaks and living in Canoga Park for 49 years. He and his wife Gert Pfeiffer were very active in many civic organizations and were supporters of the President's Club of CSUN and Northridge Hosp ital. Charles served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in both the Pacific and Italy.

He worked for Oberg Construction Company for most of his career as an Engineer Superintendent involved in many large concrete city and county projects as this community grew, including the Ventura Freeway, LAX and Southern California Gas Company Storage Tanks. Charles is survived by his daughter and her husband, Chuck and Faith Ann Pfeiffer Bearchell; and his son and wife, John and Alicia Student, and loving grandchildren Kevin and Karlyn Bearchell and Andrew Student. A Memorial Service was held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
